Mr. GerthMr. Drew Gerth

Principal


Mr. Gerth became the Principal of the Warrick Education Center in 2011. Prior to coming to WEC he spent two years as the Assistant Principal at the Plaza Park International Prep Academy and three years as the Assistant Principal of the Helfrich Park STEM Academy. Mr. Gerth's teaching career included eight years teaching Physical Education, Health, and Teen Leadership at Henderson South Middle School and one year teaching Physical Education and Athletic Training at Harrison High School. Throughout his career, Mr. Gerth has served on multiple school, district, and state committees and enjoyed coaching football, swimming, and track.

Mr. Gerth is a lifelong resident of Warrick County and a 1990 Castle High School graduate. He completed his undergraduate work at Ball State University and received his master's degree and principal licensure from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Mr. Gerth and his wife Tracy have two daughters in the Castle school district.


SecretaryMrs. Danielle Russell

Secretary / Treasurer


Mrs. Russell is originally from Glades County, Florida, and a 1996 graduate of Moore Haven High School. After serving in the United States Air Force for 6 years, she attended Hodges University receiving her degree in computer communications.

Danielle and her husband, Shawn, have 4 sons and 2 daughters in the Boonville school district.

 

 

 


Social WorkerMrs. Katy Barnes

Social Worker


Mrs. Barnes provides services to the students of the Warrick Education Center. Prior to her position at WEC, she worked as a probation officer for Warrick County. 

Mrs. Barnes is a lifelong resident of Warrick County and a 2008 Tecumseh High School graduate.  She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Kentucky Wesleyan University.
